You know when I was younger I fought with my siblings, just as we all did. Then as we started to grow up, I told on them for smoking or doing things they shouldn't be doing even though I had done the same if not worse. It seems like a blink of the eyes and we are all grown up and we are all living in different areas of the country. We have our own lives. We have our own goals and struggles in life. We have all suffered losses and we have all carved out our own little niches. For the most part we have all triumphed over evil and we have survived without life long afflictions.
The one thing we don't have is enough time spent together.
I love and miss you all.
Kim, Brandy and Summer!
Your Brother, Derek

This photo was taken March 17, 2006 on my last visit to see Greg at his home in Georgia. Greg and Debra both visited our house several times afterwards (usually because of other family members in the hospital here in Chattanooga).

When Paula decided she wanted a grill, she was hell bent on getting
one. We looked for a while and the ones we wanted were just out
of our price range during our current budget. So when her boss
decided to buy him a new one, they worked out something for her to get
his old one. This grill was a little out of shape, to say the
least. The wood was rotten, the burners were rusted completely
through and it didn't look like it would grill again.
So
we used left-over wood from our new deck, purchased a new burner and
with a steel brush in hand I started the task of completely
refurbishing the grill to look like new.
The very
day we completed the project (Scott and I) we had a big cook out that
evening with my Mother, Glen (My Step Father), Brandy, Gabby (my niece)
and Ricky. Plenty of hotdogs and hamburgers for all cooked up by Paula!
Thanks Ronnie!
