 So, a lifelong friend emails me and asks me to come see him in Florida and while there, visit an amusement park (nope not the one operated by the mouse) for halloween.
"Sounds great", I tell him, "However, I haven't the funds to make this trip."
He exclaims that I, "Suck".
So to put it into perspective for him, I send him another email and explain, "Do you remember the days of
eating Ramen Noodles because you just couldn't afford anything else?"
I am certain that his thought process was something along the lines of, "Surely Derek has not become so broke that he is eating only Ramen Noodles!"
So his response was, "That's not a good sign... Want some Skittles?"
Damn Him! What if I had really been in need?
He is correct and it did get me out of a trip to Florida, not to forget a little chuckle at his reference to Skittles!
